The Sandy Cemetery Association oversees two of the historic cemeteries in the Sandy area, Fir Hill Memorial Cemetery and Sandy Ridge Cemetery. Both cemeteries have a deep history in Sandy having been established since before the incorporation of the city in 1913. Fir Hill Cemetery was established on June 9, 1888 and Sandy Ridge Cemetery was donated and established between 1861-1862.
The Sandy Cemetery Association was founded on February 9, 1939 as a non-profit organization and is staffed fully by volunteers from our community. Together our mission is to preserve and maintain these historic locations for generations to come.
